Personalised Learning. Proven Results.
Our 11+ Subjects
During this period, we will work towards establishing a strong foundation in both Maths and English, and we will work towards the SATs exams as well as the 7+ exams for those interested.
Mathematics
We begin by building core skills in place value, arithmetic, fractions and percentages, basic algebra, geometry, ratio, proportion and measurement. From there, we introduce key 11+ topics such as HCF and LCM, long multiplication and division, and problem-solving. Students then progress to exam-style questions that reflect the 11+ format, ensuring they develop both a deep understanding of concepts and the confidence to apply them under exam conditions.
English
We focus on developing comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar skills using a structured booklet designed to mirror the 11+ exam format. This includes multiple-choice comprehension questions that test inference, vocabulary, and language techniques, alongside regular spelling, punctuation, and grammar practice in context. Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, with targeted exercises to strengthen specific areas.
Verbal Reasoning
Available from Year 5, our verbal reasoning sessions build skills through focused, targeted practice, including word building and manipulation, vocabulary development, and letter and word codes — complementing and reinforcing what students are learning in their English lessons. Topics are practised alongside full-length mock tests, ensuring each skill is repeated and mastered over time.
Non-Verbal Reasoning
Available from Year 5, our non-verbal reasoning sessions build skills through focused, targeted practice, covering key areas such as hidden shapes, code breaking, odd one out, and matrices. Topics are practised alongside full-length mock tests, ensuring each skill is repeated and mastered over time.
