Our KS2 tuition strengthens subject knowledge through structured lessons, targeted practice, and personalised support. Students gain confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and prepare successfully for SATs and secondary education.

Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6)
English
We continue developing comprehension skills using a wide range of texts, including stories, plays, poetry, and non-fiction. Alongside this, we help students build a richer vocabulary and stronger SPaG (spelling, punctuation, and grammar) skills. Age-appropriate spellings are set as weekly homework and tested regularly. Students learn to use a variety of language devices and punctuation, applying these techniques in their weekly writing tasks. As always, all work is marked and reviewed with the student to support ongoing improvement.
Maths
Building on KS1 foundations, students develop fluency in times tables, long multiplication and division, decimals, percentages, basic algebra, geometry, HCF & LCM, and statistics. Students not sitting the 11+ follow the national curriculum, covering topics such as place value up to a million, Roman numerals, negative numbers, angle measurement, ratio and proportion, and algebra in years 5 and 6, ensuring they exceed expectations in their SATs exams.
